Northern Mockingbird

This Northern Mockingbird was calmly sitting on the tip of a spindly tree on a windy sunny afternoon in Peace Valley park. It also didn’t seem to mind me slowly creeping up to it, so I managed to get a string of great shots of it.

I have mixed feelings about this photo. On the one hand it is very sharp, the bird is beautifully exposed and the photo, overall, has rich colors making it pop. But on the other hand, there isn’t any drama to it – the mockingbird is just sitting there, basking in the warm sun.
